Favourite thing to do in science: Learning something new every day
About Me: I am always curious. I work with mathematics and computers.
I am a PhD student in Dublin. I like to spend time with my friends and visit new places. I am Italian, and I just moved to Ireland.
I like most types of sports, but my favorite is Karate. I love any kind of food as long as it is delicious and not chilly.
My Work: There are many scientific ways to describe human behaviour. I work with numbers to make them faster and more precise.
To study human behaviour, we start with a game. We ask some people to play, and we record how they play. Then we use formulas to describe their actions.
There are many different versions of the same game. My work right now is to find the best one for our purpose.
My Typical Day: My day starts with a large breakfast. Then I study: there are always new things to learn. I jump between formulas and codes. I use mathematics to speed up the code, and I use the code to gain the most from mathematics.
What I'd do with the money: I would prepare a presentation and some activities for the students.
