No, there will always be different strains and mutations but with vaccines and adapting the way we live and interact with species we should be able to control it.

Yes, of course. Although the situation looks a little unfavourable right now, because numbers keep spiking. However, with a vaccine, once your immunity is boosted enough, and everyone around you also have their immunity boosted, this virus will lose it’s power over mankind.
Meanwhile, the scientists and researchers all over the world are trying to find the vaccine, we need to be patient and observe all the precautions to protect everyone around us. It is definitely a pivotal point in the history and what we do right now is going to define a lot of things for the future. Stay safe:)

The virus will not be gone completely from world, human bodies will adopt to live and survive with the virus. Different research teams are working on various perspective of dealing with virus. First vaccine trails are carrying out in different countries which will be a long-term cure after it is successful. Secondly, to survive against the virus, researchers are putting their efforts to investigate about virus activities on different surfaces. This is helping in terms of using the best materials to prepare personal protective equipment. Scientists are trying their best to know more about the virus, so we can defend ourselves through science and research.

No one knows for sure! But my educated guess is the following!
Short Answer: COVID-19 will be affecting our everyday life for the rest of 2021. After 2021 we hopefully have a vaccine available for everyone, which may make COVID-19 more like a regular flu. It will unlikely disappear completely, but it will be managed.
Longer Answer: It appears that COVID-19 will be very common until we have a vaccine for the disease. Currently vaccines are being tested and a safe and proven to work by the middle of next year. After a vaccine is developed it will be given first to people that can get very sick, for example the elderly. Since it takes a long time to make enough vaccine it may be about a year from now where enough people have access to a vaccine to prevent waves of the virus from appearing. After most people are vaccinated we will see a decline in cases. What happens next no one knows. It could end up like the common flu where we see spikes in cases every winter. It could essentially disappear if the vaccine is very effective and the virus doesn’t mutate enough to infect people again.
