Question: How close have you got to the speed of light

Well the fastest data rate that can be supported right now with photonic(light) circuits is 44.2 Terabit per second. We are a long way to going towards the speed of light because our interfaces are still electrical(electrons), which has a signal speed slower than photons(light). The ongoing research is trying to tackle this challenge.
