The general idea is to record movements and muscle activity. It is still a work in progress but in the current version, the device looks like a pair of leggings with the small boxes on thigh and shank. Those boxes contain position sensor (like in all the smartphones today), so it can record the leg position and the knee angle. That’s how I can say if a person does an exercise correctly.
The device also has fabric electrodes that sewn to the inside of the leggings. Electrodes pick up electrical impulses from muscles, so I can see which muscle works, when and how hard. I use all this info to see how a person is doing with their recovery, how they improve over time and if they need some advice from physiotherapist.
