      Hello,

      It depends on the country.
      I had to do both bachelor and master before I could start the doctorate, but in some places, the bachelor is enough.

      Nonetheless, what I noticed in my experience (I don’t have a number to prove this) is that the PhD students that I work with that came straight from bachelor have what more issues dealing with the pressure of a doctorate. From what I saw, it’s not only a matter of education, but having 2-3 additional years under your belt when you are at the beginning of your 20ies, actually make a difference. But not everyone is the same, and this is just my opinion built only on 4 years of PhD co-supervision.
