      Dear Park49kay,
I think that organic and industrial agronomy should find a way to merge to have a more efficent but less impactfull agronomy.

I am going back to my geology roots! I think a huge overlooked thing is where we get our raw materials (like metals for example). Right now Europe uses a lot of money and burns a lot of green house gases by importing most of our raw materials. The easily solution is to mine for stuff locally so that will limit the effects of transportation. It will also be a long time before we have the technology to recycle things at a big enough scale to limit mining, so the most environmentally friendly way to do that is in places like Europe where there are good environmental protections, unlike in places in Africa that are not regulated nearly as well. Ireland is actually a world leader in sustainable mining practices.
