I didn’t have any clue about my future career when I was in school. In late 90s, people started using mobile phones in Vietnam. I couldn’t afford on, so I wish I could make one for myself ! (it is still a dream now 🙂 ). Then I decided to go to a technology university to do something with electronics. During my last years of my bachelor, I was more interested in the theory of data transmission over wireless channels, rather than in building circuits to make that happen. I still can’t clearly explain why but perhaps I have a strong background in maths, and it may trigger my curiosity to see how equations can be used for data transmission. Then I got a scholarship to do a PhD degree in this subject. It was a very interesting journey.
