Question: Why does electricity power so many things

Electricity is the usable form of energy and it is readily available since its discovery. We can use batteries but they will die after some time or will need recharging. This again needs electricity. Nowadays, solar power and other renewable sources of energy are being developed to replace the non-renewable ones.
