• Question: Can u make a star on earth

      Er… kind of.

      Recently there have been experiments developing Nuclear Fusion power, which is a bit like creating a star on Earth. Up until now all Nuclear energy has been Nuclear Fission, which is quite different (and creates potentially dangerous waste). Energy output from Fusion reactors has been a bit problematic though.

      As Duncan said, nuclear fusion is the power source of a star, and we can do that on earth, with the long term goal of making a power plant out of it!

      So the answer is kinda! Although it works a liitle bit differently than a real star since we use technology like lasers to make fusion happen, where the sun uses gravity.
