      Hello,

Yes, many times. It is a feeling which is coming back frequently. Most of the time this feeling has completely nothing in common with reality. Moreover, some people who got the Nobel Prize have the same problem! This is really crazy how much we can underestimate ourselves just because of someone else achievements or our unhealthy view of ourselves. I feel like we a bit used to exaggerate our failures and undervalue our successes. Like the old story for children is saying: you have two wolfs living in you: good one and bad one. Do you know which one will grow and win? The one you are feeding. In these moments when I’m thinking that I won’t do well in my life I’m always trying to be conscious and say: look how much you did and where you are now. If you’d be a failure you would never make it to this point. Try to be good for yourself, understanding and accepting. Try to always feed the good wolf 😉

I am generally a pretty confident person! However, at big transition points in my life, like going to college or graduating, it was scary because I wouldn’t know for sure if I would succeed in my next role, or if I would even get that next role/job. I have always accepted that I won’t succeed at everything, but as long as I have back up plans I think I will do well in the end.

      Dear OCarroll28,
it’s normal for people, expecially during their teenage years, to feel the pressure of society and be insecure in life but fear it’s a natural reaction and it’s a smart one because it keeps to became blinded by arrogance.
Long before modern society other people felt the same and in particular the Stoicists came to many conclusion that even now and in this troubled time can be of help to anyone.

If you feels insicure, expecially about things that are outside your direct control, I would like to suggest an important book.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditations

It was written by the emperor of Rome 2 millenias ago and despite that you can still feels the fears and worries of the man responsible for the largest empire Europe has ever seen,
Marco Aurelio written this book to help himself but many people today finds his insight quite useful.

If those feelings keeps growing and start to became relentless please talk with your parents and doctor.
