      In these games, there’s a lot of cutting or pivoting movements, when an athlete plants a foot on the ground and suddenly shifts direction (to escape an opponent, for example). That shift puts a huge load on the knee and sometimes can cause injury, not always of course. But if you’re a professional player the risk goes up.
